Mark your calendars, a new season for the popular shonen The Seven Deadly Sins was announced recently for Fall 2019! The new show will be titled Nanatsu no Taizai: Kamigami no Gekirin (The Seven Deadly Sins: Wrath of the Gods).
Even though so little has been revealed about this new anime, fans were promised that its storyline will center around the events that lead to the story’s climax. In other words, we will get to see more of the ten commandments and learn more about this world’s secrets.
Another important detail revealed about season 3 of the Seven Deadly Sins is the studio switch. The anime will not be produced by A-1 Pictures but it’s rather Studio DEEN that will be responsible for it this time. The news was not well received by fans who are worried about the animation changing and ruining the experience, even though the character design will remain the same.
During the previous years, Nanatsu no Taizai actually got a 24-episode anime that aired in 2014 followed by an original TV special titled The Seven Deadly Sins: Signs of Holy War. The anime also got a second season and a movie 2018!
Both seasons are available on Netflix if you’re interested in watching them while waiting for the new season!
