After its launch yesterday on June 3rd on PC (HTC Vive, Oculus Go, Oculus Rift), Spice and Wolf VR is scheduled to soon come to both the Switch and PS4 later on this summer.
Thanks to the assistance of Spice and Wolf’s author Isuna Hasekura, who wrote the in-game dialogue, the player will be able to go on a VR adventure with the main protagonists: a fur peddler and a wolf goddess called Holo, as they seek shelter in an abandoned cottage.
During the game, players will be given the ability to interact with various surroundings from the perspective of Kraft Lawrence, other delightfully odd features such as patting Holo’s head will be present. However, some interactions will be limited on the Switch, non-VR PC and Oculus Go, as Spice and Wolf’s developers SpicyTails have noted.
The virtual reality adaptation of the light novel franchise is obtainable as a digital download on the eShop and Steam.
